Next week is the final week of school for 2014. That means lots of fun happenings here in room A7!
On Wednesday the SLHS choir will be visiting us for a Holiday performance. Also that same day, we will be pretending to be Santa's elves by taking a craft we created as a class and delivering it to the nice people at Lloyd's Bayou. This is not a field trip per se. Yes, we are getting on a bus and riding over, but we are literally sneaking in, delivering our presents, and leaving. No chaperons necessary for this trip! On Thursday, we will be visited in the morning by Trooper Marty for a lesson on "What Is 911?" followed by the student council sponsored game day after school. And, of course, there's Friday. Here is the plan for that day:
......in the Chimnaaaay!" Report cards are coming home today. Look for them in your child's folder. They are not in an envelope, but are stapled to a letter form Mrs. Peets. Please sign and return the letter as proof that you have seen the report card. The report itself is yours to keep. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have.
If the lack of snow is making it hard for you to get into the holiday spirit, fear not! The second grade Holiday music concert is coming up next Thursday, December 11th. What better way to get into the spirit than by watching our precious Jeffers 2nd graders sing about jingle bells and deck them halls and Ho!Ho!Ho and mistletoe and presents to pretty girls...? (Here's hoping some of you caught the Charlie Brown reference ;-)). Look at some things we've been working on this week:
