It's been a bit of an unusually hectic week here at Jeffers.  We have spend the last few days doing a reassessment of where the students are at in their learning process, particularly in the areas of reading and math.  It has meant a bit a shake up in our usual routines (we weren't able to make it to library, for example).  The good news is that we are finished and can return to life as normal next week.

For the last two weeks we have been hosting docents from the TriCities Historical Museum.  Last week they spoke to the students about how the local Native Americans lived prior to the arrival of the Europeans.  Today, the students learned about the fur traders and how they interacted with the Native Americans.  The docents will continue to visit us for several more weeks.

We do indeed have a full week of school ahead of us.  The following week is our mid-winter break, meaning there is no school on Monday and Tuesday, February 2 & 3.
