This week, while reading, we learned that a curmudgeon is someone who yells "Get off my lawn!" at the little kids in the neighborhood. We treat books like that sometimes & approach them with the attitude of a curmudgeon. But if we consider the possibility that every book has some GOLD to offer us, we are more open to the gifts that books can give us. Treat books like they're gold!
A personal narrative is a story about ourselves. We took some time to really consider the important people, places, and memories in our personal lives. These will help us generate writing ideas for our upcoming personal narratives. All multiplication facts have been introduced to the students. Now is the time to begin working hard on memorization, especially 6s, 7s, and 8s. They seem to be the trickiest. Our Schoology page has some School House Rock songs to help with this. Students can access them on their iPads. Finally, mark your calendars!!!
