It is almost imperceptible to me that an entire school year has gone by. There is no way for me to put into words how much I have treasured the time I have spent with these beautiful second graders. I want to thank you, parents, for sending them to me each day clean, well rested, fed, and ready to put their best efforts forth. Thank you for helping to make sure homework is completed, notes are signed, snacks are packed, lunches are provided, proper shoes, clothing, and outerwear is worn, emails are sent, money is contributed, and contributed, and contributed. Your child's success in school is absolutely dependent upon mutual communication and support from both home and school. As a fellow parent, it is a responsibility I do not take lightly. So thank you for your trust.
Students, you have been an absolute gift to me this school year. Each and every one of you have put a smile on my face at one point or another. Being a second grader is tough work, but you all handled it so gracefully. You worked hard, helped and encouraged one another, and discovered some special gifts along the way. My biggest wish is that, as you grow up, you will look back fondly on your time in second grade. I know I will smile whenever I think of you!
