So, this week is not only the week of Halloween, but there is also a full moon. Hang on to your hats folks. It's going to be a crazy one!
All parents are welcome to come hang out with their child during the party (2:35-3:25). Students are welcome to bring their costumes to school on Friday (no violent costumes, please). They will be given about 10 minutes to use the bathrooms to change into their costume prior to the party. There will be no costume parade this year. Our last evening of parent-teacher conferences will take place on Tuesday, from 5:00-8:00. Please check your scheduled time and let me know if you need to reschedule. It is extremely important to your child's success that there is good communication between home and school. Conferences are an important piece of that communication. Just to clarify, Tuesdays and Fridays are baggie book days. If your child finishes their baggie books, they are to come home with new ones on Tuesday and/or Friday. Please let me know if they do not receive new ones and they should have. If they have NOT finished their baggie books, they should still bring them to school on Tuesdays and Fridays for a check in. As homework, your child should read 20 minutes per evening minimally. Their baggie books should be part of that 20 minutes. The reading log should reflect their baggie book reading. It seems there has been some confusion from parents as to how the baggie books are to be used at home. I hope this clarifies things. If not, ask!
